Day 35/365 oh my swollen....

...eye. For the past few days I was complaining that my eye felt like someone punched me in the eye. Well today I'm feeling kinda of crumby and it's swollen. It's not pink eye. I'm not exactly sure what is going on...

In all honesty the pictures don't really show off how much my eye is bugging me.

34/365 Saturday November 29th 2008.

Saturday night the we all sat down to play some cards. While we were cleaning up we discovered that putting things inside our glasses created interesting pictures. Who would have thunk it.

33/365 Black Friday

First we discovered that Caide has officially learned to sit up on his own. What a MILESTONE!! He can sit up straight but those pictures didn't turn out very well. So here you go...

Next...

We did it, we ventured out on Black Friday.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people go out with bad attitudes on that day, grouchy, mean-spirited, etc. Such a start to the holiday.

One picture I DID not get, and really wish I would have snagged it was a picture of a bell ringer hitting on one of the sales associates. CLASSIC!

Day 32 of 365 Thanksgiving.

We got so caught up eating I didn't bother taking pictures of the food. Instead I took pictures of family enjoying the day.

I hope everyone else had as fantastic of a Thanksgiving as my family and I enjoyed.

Look at everyone's smiling faces!!!

Day 31 of 365 Thanksgiving Eve.

My in-laws are down and they brought Moses the 3-legged dog!

I must say I was worried because he's still a puppy, and a little hyper, but he's been really well behaved. I managed to get some pictures of him today.

Enjoy!

Day 30 of 365 Bread?!

I've made bread in the bread maker a million times...

I'm not sure what I did wrong but this bread did NOT turn out.

Day 29 of 365

Tonight despite my protesting Brandi drug me out to an open house held by Lynn Darda.

Despite me sounding like I didn't enjoy it, I really did. Lynn is the elementary school art teacher. What a creative woman she is.

She does some scrap booking through a company that (forgive me) I can not for the life of me remember the name of right now. *Isn't my face red. Especially since I asked her specifically what it was called.

I will say that I really love the papers and themes that she presented there. Oh and these awesome stamps that you could peel and put on a "stamp block" so that your not storing 39483838 stamps. MUCH more convenient. If you can't tell the stamps pretty much rocked my socks off. It MIGHT just convince me to try to scrapbook. Notice I said MIGHT in big capital letters!! Truth be told, I don't have a creative bone in my body, unless it involves photography.

If anyone is interested, I will get you information. She is such a delightful woman I would love to be able to give her a little business even if it isn't from me. (Remember, again, most uncreative person ever!)

So while we were there Brandi convinced me to make a card. With Lynn's step by step instructions, I DID IT!!

Now on to the photographs...

The card I made! Mine is the one on the right. I even "antiqued" the edges all by myself!!

Here are some other cool things she has done with her scrap booking materials.. aren't these GREAT?!

This is a CHOCOLATE bar!! It's put inside a six pack carrier that has been covered in scrap book paper, and on the other side it's holding a small candle and a couple of lotions!! HOW ADORABLE!!

If your interested in more info about this company or ordering from Lynn, shoot me an email I'll be happy to get you information.

Day 28 of 365 Cranberry infused Vodka!!

Happy Holidays!!

Day 27/365 Nov 22, 2008

Our day started off with assembling Caide's high chair. Mike started on this by himself. After realizing the instructions came in every language but English, he enlisted my help. Between the two of us we managed to troubleshoot through the pictures and figure it out. Sans three screws, that we never did find a home for.

After this we went to Sam's club for our monthly bulk grocery stock up. Unfortunately the rest of these were taken with a point and shoot, and mine is acting up. So, some aren't as crisp as I would like.

This shot reminds me of "The Scream"

After a long day.

Day 26 of 365 Baking with the kids.

I thought Friday would be uneventful as I had seemed to come down with an ear infection. I took some silver colloidal and some Motrin, and by evening I was feeling better so we decided to go ahead and go over and bake with my friend Brandi. Originally I was going to take all of our kids over, but since I thought I wouldn't be going I let them go with their dad instead. Mason was spending the night with Layne though so he was there and of course we had Caide.

Enjoy.

I should start here with saying, Mason likes to bake at home, but he was with a friend, and the only reason I think he decided to bake with us tonight was to impress a girl. Which to be honest I find adorable.

Brandi was less than impressed that I was snapping pictures. Well, not impressed that I was snapping pictures of her.

Later the girls wanted to play a prank on the boys, so I helped. I convinced the boys to let us wrap them up in saran wrap, for a "magic trick". Then the girls put make-up on them.

After that the boys decided to channel their inner feminism and let the girls dress them up and powder their noses, and cheeks, and chins, and shirts....

Finally I got them to all settle down for a minute and managed to snap some nicer pictures.

Day 25/365 I think it's safe to put away the sunscreen.

Today I noticed I still had the sunscreen on the shelf by the door. (Easy access, for summertime before we'd go out.) I realized that with a wind chill of 8 and snow in the forecast for the next few days I probably don't need to have it out anymore.

Winter here we come!!

Tomorrow, I'll have something better.

Day 24/365

I went back to Favorite Finds, the shop I wrote about before, to do some photographs for her website.

I only liked one.

I went out last night with her to have dinner and a drink. I snapped this picture. Somehow I managed to get a horrible flash reflection off my bottle, but this is all part of the project. I'm not going to get GREAT photos everyday.

Soo..

Day 23/365 Mama, I want to work at a cloud factory when I grow up!

A few weeks ago when I went to shoot my Remembering Flight 4184, Kendyl and I passed a power plant that was pumping out copious amounts of white smoke. Kendyl exclaimed with the excitement only a 4 year old could muster up, "MOM!!! LOOK A CLOUD FACTORY!!!"

It was so sweet and innocent I couldn't tell her any different. I just said, "OH yes!! Isn't that AMAZING!"

She then went on to tell me that she wanted to work at a cloud factory when she grew up.

Today we went to meet Mike for lunch and on the way over what did we see, a smaller cloud factory. (Ethanol plant). So we stopped to take pictures. She still thinks its a cloud factory. She was so excited!!

Look! It worked!

Further down the road we came across an old school. The school is falling apart. The roof is caving in. Such a shame, because it otherwise holds such sweet charm. I imagine one time the noise of small children playing, and clicks of chalk to the chalkboards filled the building, and now all you hear is silence.

More scenery on the way home...
